It is ideal for use by a professional arborist with up to 25% faster speed than equivalent gas-powered saws, with a high power-to-weight ratio designed for in-tree work.

· Powered by one 40V XGT® battery for maximum power, speed and run-time, the GCU03M1 is easy to start by simply loading the 40V XGT® Battery and powering on. The GCU03M1 has a variable speed trigger and high chain speed (0-4,882 FPM) for improved cutting performance.

· It has zero emissions and reduced maintenance: there's no engine oil to change, no spark plug to replace, no air filter or muffler to clean, and there's no need to drain the fuel for storage. The Makita-built brushless motor provides power equivalent to a 30cc gas top handle chain saw.

· Other convenience features include adjustable automatic chain lubrication, built-on lock-off lever to help prevent the chain from accidentally engaging, an electric brake for maximum productivity, and more.
